Darnell T. Barton, Esq.- Barton Law, PLLC
My journey into the legal profession has been deeply personal, rooted in a desire to heal and uplift. Witnessing the pervasive impact of systemic injustices, I felt compelled to become an advocate for those marginalized and silenced. Establishing Barton Law, PLLC, allowed me to channel this commitment into tangible action, providing a platform to support individuals facing criminal defense, civil rights, and personal injury challenges.
Engaging in this work is both fulfilling and demanding. The emotional weight of confronting systemic injustices and supporting clients through their traumas can be substantial. To maintain my well-being and continue to serve effectively, I recognize the importance of self-care and seeking support. In this journey, I have found that referring clients to professionals who specialize in trauma-informed care is essential.
One such professional is Dr. Ashley N. Craft, a Relational-Cultural Psychologist. Dr. Craft offers trauma-informed, culturally affirming virtual therapy across Metro Detroit and Michigan. She specializes in helping adults, particularly BIPOC individuals, navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and generational trauma. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's unique journey. By collaborating with professionals like Dr. Craft, we can provide holistic support that addresses both the legal and emotional needs of our clients.
